Dianabol, a moderate, quick releasing and convenient anabolic, is a popular steroid amongst bodybuilders for its potency and well-tolerated use. Originally reaching fame for being a popular choice in the golden age of bodybuilding, it has continued to be used by many bodybuilders and athletes looking to accrue a large amount of size. 

Effects On The Body

Dianabol is a modified version of testosterone known as Methandienone, changed through the addition of a double carbon bond between the first and second carbon points, and the addition of a methyl chemical group to the 17th carbon point of the structure. This boosts potency, allows it to be taken as an oral drug, and reduces its androgen profile. 

It works by patching into the androgen receptors at specific cells of the body, such as in the muscles, in order to change the signaling within them to boost protein production and retention. It also increases red blood cell manufacturing. This means a user could get greater gains in work capacity, lean size and strength than otherwise possible, even without training. However, not all the effects of Dbol are positive, as we’ll explain below.

How It’s Used?

Oral Dianabol is normally taken in tandem with other anabolic steroids during programs where the goal is to gain mass and/or strength in a moderate or short space of time. These programs usually run for around 4 to 6 weeks. 

During this time, the drug is taken orally, at an interval of around thrice daily, with dosing depending on the user’s gender and prior experience. 

Females would naturally take a much lower dose, between 5 to 15 milligrams daily, due to their higher sensitivity to adverse effects. 

Meanwhile, trained bodybuilders can take from 10 to 100 milligrams daily depending on how well seasoned they are from previous programs using anabolics. Caution should always be taken when increasing doses though, to ensure a minimal risk of incurring additional side effects, discussed below. 

Potential Side Effects Of Dianabol 

As mentioned above, while generally very well tolerated by users, there are still some potential drawbacks for using Dianabol 20 mg pills. These may include:

• Increased heart size, arterial wall stiffness and LDL cholesterol buildup. 
• Estrogen-mediated effects like higher blood pressure, water retention and fat buildup. 
• Androgen-related effects, such as balding for genetically predisposed people at a faster rate, acne and oily skin, and virilizing effects in women.
• Suppression of natural testosterone levels, which can persist after the end of a program.

It should be noted though, that these effects can be mitigated and managed through following a heart-healthy diet and exercise routine, using Aromatase Inhibitors or SERMs, 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors, and a good Post Cycle Therapy Program, respectively.
